Selma de Leon-Yznaga is an associate professor in the Department of Counseling at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In addition to 28 years of experience as a school teacher, school counselor, licensed professional counselor/supervisor, and counselor educator, Dr. Yznaga has held numerous leadership positions in the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). She continues to engage in scholarship and advocacy related to Latinx issues, speaking to and training mental health professionals and community organizers across the country in order to raise awareness and support for Latinx communities.
Erin Underbrink is a post-doctoral fellow in clinical child psychology at Capital OCD and Anxiety Practice in Austin, Texas. She earned her doctorate from Seattle Pacific University and completed her pre-doctoral internship through Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin. Dr. Underbrink has specific training in treating children, teens and families with a wide range of complexities, including trauma, anxiety, externalizing behavior, and medical complications. She engages in outreach and advocacy to reduce mental health stigma and broaden the reach of mental health professionals to diverse populations.
